I have a report for you.
Monday 26th march 2001 (the day after i played u, mac) i played HillyDorp (ranked 7, 700 points)
on Green Acres, Tech level 3, Unit Count 6. Both were GDI. After a huge Medium tank fight, we had only a couple of tanks left when I saw that my last Medium tank (he had two Tanks left) couldnt move, it just acted wierd (he probably skeyed, that happened to some of my soldiers aswell). After that I took his tanks with infantry. Both of us didn¥t have weapons factory. He didnt have barracks but i did. I kept on pumping infantry and I took his base but one refinery was left. I didnt whatch when he sold his refinery but one of his harvesters was missing. When he only got one harvester left, he typed "gg, again?" I answered "gg, ok" I took his harvester but nothing happened. He typed "huh? I cant resign! my comp is fucked up". I told him to abort but he said that it wasn®t working. He then told ME to abort so we could play another game. We waited an hour. He said he should do his homework and that he didn®t have all day. I did something i NEVER would have done in another game. I disconnected. I wonder why he didn®t. He said that he played for fun, but i dont beleve him. Not after what he did.

He couldn't surrender? That means he did the Refinery cheat. And then he lied to You: He is still able to abort the game, what would give You the win. He refused to do that and asked You to abort, so he would get the win although he had lost. To dc in this situation is legal, although I would have waited until the hell freezes. We played today, GDI vs GDI on Tiberium Garden, AI off, crates off, Tib on, bases on, tech 7, $9999, 4 units. I scouted him early, he scouted me quite late. I saw him building Orcas and so I built a 2nd Barracks and pumped out Rocket Soldiers. I killed his Medium Tank in my base with infantry, although he squished a few of them. I had Minigun Infantry to manage his demolished Humm-Vee and Rocket Soldiers waiting for his Orcas. Before he sent those 4 into my base, he outsynced the game.
Why? He bet the farm on Orcas, had only1 Refinery. I had 3 Refineries and a good enough prepared defense. So he saw his newbie tactic doomed and his points flowing down the river. I was silly enough to play him, although he was already blacklisted before.

We played on 2001-03-23, GDI vs NOD on Tiberium Garden, AI off, crates off, Tib on, bases on, tech 7, $9999, 4 units. I attacked him early with my 3 Orcas. He tried to APC and engineer my CY, but failed as his APC died and I sold the Refinery next to my CY. He tried it a 2nd time, but this time I built walls and to my surprise he turned around before reaching the entrance and moved back to his base. My Orcas then went after his Harvester and he dced. Hi Markus,
Again I apologize, and again it was not a deliberate D/C. This time it was something a little more insideous, in that my modem or 'apple remote access', is occassionally quitting during C&C. This is happening more frequently in the last few months.
So I guess the noble thing to do is not play tourney games until I get another computer (the Performa 5300 has had it's day). Presently I am on a Government sponsered course for the unemployed, whereby we build a PC and are allowed to keep it. This should be finished in a months time, but the spec of the new machine will be no better, i.e. P75 with 16Mb ram :( But we shall see.
So JimmyGiro temporarily signing out.
P.S. Markus what is the spec of your operating system? Mine is OS8.6, with a Pace external modem.
MIne is MacOS 9.0.6, I should update to 9.1 ;) I don't think it's Your Mac's fault. I would guess Your ISP is the unreliable one.

Today I played (GDI) with JimmyGiro (NOD), AI off, crates off, Tib on, bases on, tech 7, $9999, 4 units on Tiberium Garden.
The game started and it really didn't look good for me: I failed to scout his base, he saw mine. He rushed my CY with 4 Apaches and I sold it. I thought: Game over that was it for me. But then I reminded the many games which looked the same and I managed a turnaround.
I looked at my chances: He had heli rushed me, so he lacks probably much of the necessary for a long game buildings. I had 3 Refineries and 3 Harvesters, but I saw only 1 single Harvester of him. I had 2 Power Plants ensureing me enough power. I had 3 Barracks giving me the possibility to pump out infantry like hell. And I got the extra $2500 from my sold CY. So I decided not to put my finger on the R-resign button of my keyboard, although I was close to it when I sold my CY.
The game went on, he never attacked my Harvesters, so I had an enormous cash flow. I built Miniggun-Infantry and Grenadiers and Rocket Soldiers like crazy and had always more than enough money. So I was able to shoot 2 or 3 of his 4 Apaches down. He sold his NOD Turret in the entrance of his base and kept a Hand Of NOD near the field. He never came out with new vehicles, but only helis and some Flamethrower Infantry. Because of the 3:1 ratio of our income I had no problem killing his infantry and shooting some Apaches down. I even began to attack his single Harvester with my infantry. I wondered why he had built a Communications Center. An Obelisk Of Light wouldn't help him versus my infantry and he had no Airstrip to get Flame Tanks.
I saw that he couldn't keep up with my never ending infantry attacking him. He was unable to build another Refinery or Airstrip, because he needed all money for Flamethrowers. If he would have stopped building Flamers to get an Airstrip or Refinery, I would have got him immediately with my infantry.
I finally got the feeling, that I have a good chance to win this game. I was able to attack his Harvester again and again, which was nearly half-dead. He had only 1 Apache or 2 left, both damaged and soon dead. He had only so few money to send never more than 3 Flamers at a time. I was able to spread during the same time at least10 mixed infantry over the map and attacked his Flamers always from many sides, ensuring he hit only single soldiers of mine. My money came faster in than I could build infantry with my 3 Barracks. Micromanaging my infantry I was all the time the winner on the field. (At start I even killed his 3 start vehicles with mixed infantry). Then it dced. Maybe it was his bad ISP or whatever, but my own connection stood to Westwood: I took several after game screenshots to document what was there and I drove one of my Harvesters into his base to see what was there. Then I left the game and my WChat sent the game results to Westwood.
Unfortunately he had more kills and his CY, so I guess I will get the loss, but this doesn't really matter to me.

Hi Markus,
JimmyGiro here. I read your account of our game in the 'players reports', and I would like to apologize on behalf of my ISP (British telecom) for ruining the climax of a good old slog. They disconnected me (ask any of their customers what the service is like, for reliability).
As for your prognosis of the games likely outcome, I would take issue. Firstly my base only appeared unprotected, for isn't that the way the best traps are set. The apache and few ground troops were set poised to move when your chinook felt ready.
Secondly, the sold airstrip, and ready to sell central obelisk with its' sam site, plus the communications tower, plus the credits of yet killed harvesters (two), would/were covering the cost of the construction of turrets and same sites adjacent to that virtually dead tower you had at your base entrants. Even with your orcas I believe this would have been the check mate move. For unless you can chinook your harvesters, the pretty pictures of the unpicked tiberium would have been of no value to you.
On a neutral note, westwood didn't register any points to either of us. Which I know will not console you, but it could have been worse considering the kill rate was 100 to you and 165 to me :)
I hope there are no long lasting bad feelings Markus, since we are both old enough to know better...

This was a very interesting 2 hours game my GDI vs his NOD on Tiberium Garden, bases on, Tib on, crates off, 4 units, $9999, tech7. It was 2 days ago. The first part of the game I removed 3 of his Refineries by landing an Engineer and some Grenadiers next to them. Some he sold, some I got and sold them myself. I used my Orcas to distract all of his SAM sites :)))
We expanded both to the middle of the map. We met with infantry, Advanced Guard Towers, NOD Turrets, Obelisks, GDI tanks, infantry and helis and SAM sites and walls. It was strategy war at it's best. First I went luckky and forced his Harvesters to stay in his base. I had put Medium Tanks and Mammoth Tanks to 2 of his Tiberium fields in the south east and north east so he couldn't go there anymore. Then he sold some buildings and expanded a little bit more to the west so he was able to harvest in the south west. I harvested in the middle and later in the north west and north east and south west.
I forgot to mention he had built an Airstrip, that he sold later. He used it for 2 SSM Launchers that died by my Orcas and tanks and later 1 APC that died in my base in the middle of 3 AGTs firing at it and then at the Engineer.
I decided to sell my Weapons Factory and my Communications Center to get new Orcas to attack him harvesting on his single field in the sout west and to get another Chinook and an Engineer faster to invade his CY which wasn't well protected anymore due to our battle in the middle.
He had (due to my Engineer attacks) only 1 Refinery left. I had more and was able to harvest in the south west, west, north west and north east. As stated earlier I had my brand new Chinook loaded with an Engineer (for his CY) and 3 Orcas to kill him on his last Tiberium field. Only downside for me was that he had built near to the entry of my base, after I was forced to sell some Refineries, Barracks and AGTs that were in the middle of the map earlier.
Then it disconnected. I waited the countdown and my WChat sent the game results to Westwood. So my connection was alive and he was gone.

2 days ago we played Green Acres, bases on, Tib on, crates off, AI off, 4 units, $9999, GDI vs GDI, tech 7. I scouted him immediately and saw his base having only 2 infantry, Medium Tank and no Barracks, but a Refinery. I was moving my MCV to the middle already and decided to deploy it in his base and make it short ;)
I attacked his Medium Tank with all my start units (Mediuma Tank, Grenadier, Mingun Infantry, Humm-Vee), because his Humm-Vee was far away. He was somewhat surprised and didn't do much. After his Medium Tank I got his infantry. I built a Barracks and then continued with Guard Towers. My tank was squishing his infantry as soo as he built them.
Then he said "You're crazy" and the game went out of sync:

He was GDI, i was NOD. He started top middle and i was top right. I moved my mcv out so i could expand. As i tried to scout his base i was stopped by all his units blocking me. His Units obviously firing at me along with his ssm allowing me to see part of his cy. The loser didnt have any Harvy's comin out so i knew he was helirushin cause i could see his cy building. He then sells cy and builds more choppers. ( i know this because they flew over my base as they went to his base ). He rushes my cy which was well guarded with samsites and rocket soldiers but not able to stop 6 choppers. He then tries to take out my hand of nod (which i had 2 of) but he failed due to me constantly pumping out rocket soldiers. He tried one last attempt with what choppers he had left and failed and then he dc'd. My kills 10, his 7. What a loser this guy is. His precious 17- 0 record ranked #11 to my 9-1 record and rank #12. He just couldnt stand to get a loss and ruin his record. Poor wittle baby. I really feel for ya!! hahah!! What a loser you are North123 and learn a different strat you lameass newbie!!!

Also, you have written the game where he reported me. We were having a thunderstorm and the power went out. It wasn't my fault. I did not intend to disconnect but there isnt much you can do when you have no power and your computer turns off. But im sure this is why he d/c me back. Im sure his power wasnt out. :(

Rupertt2 vs MacMark out of sync
My GDI ./. his NOD on Sand Trap, 6 units, tech 7, $9999, AI off, bases on, crates off, Tib on. I sent in an APC and a Chinook, both loaded with Engineers. 1 of them got a Refinery with Harvester, the other forced him to sell his CY. I built Barracks and Guard Towers in his base. Later I sold my CY because his last Bikes attacked my base. Then my base was clean and I got more and more of his base with infantry. He saw that and said "gg" (good game). A few seconds later the game went out of sync. This is strange because I think I know Rupert for some time. Maybe an accident. Nevertheless I have to record this. This was my base after I clicked "continue".

Before the count down ended, he was back and the game continued normally again. I surrendered in the end as the good guy I'm when he finally got me. Maybe it was an accident and not his fault.

Ok...one thing that is really ticking me off is the fact that Acended is cheating very badly but he is reporting just as many people as he cheats. He claims that dcing is making him lose..maybe thats true but I know for one he has cheated the living daylights out of me. I think you shouldn't let known cheaters make reports..its very hypocritical of them to cheat and then be pissed when its done to them.

We both start out building buggys, and i built a lot more referys than him so I had the advantage... until he started to build SSM launchers and oblisks. then he built a Temple of NOD, and apparently ran out of money... I played this guy 1st Game on the nick Bad1Angel I was Top Right and he was Bottom Left.
My Building Order was as follows:
Power, Hand of Nod, Refinery, Airstrip, Airstrip, Power, Power, Power, Power, And a continual stream of buggys and 1 apc for my engineer from the sale of my Construction Yard.
His building order:
Power, Barracks, Barracks, Refinery, Weapons Factory........ He tried to APC rush me and my buggys killed his APC and engineer.
I attacked his APC then attacked his Weapons Factory he then called me a cheater and DCD the 1st game as Bad1Angel.
The 2nd game were the same setts as the 1st in my Game Channel, He 1st came in as Bad1Angel And called me "a Cheating Mother *%£*&^" I Kicked him and Banned him from My Game Channel Then a guy called TVON came in asking for HT i agreed and said HT was fine, I built the same order as before once my 2nd AirStrip was up he said to me " U F&*$£"% Cheater" i replied "LOL" This time he tried to build a gdi impenitrable base i attacked his men with my Buggys and then took out his Power to stop his Advanced Gaurd towers Working i got an engi into his Construction Yard whilst The Advanced Gaurd Towers werent Working Then the guy DCS this time i got a SCREEN SHOT. I just thought it would be an interesting report as the guy DC`S everytime he loses and also play`s ladder Games with 2 nick names.
